Ryan Warner
Personal Trainer - Harbourside
Having been a trainer for the past seven years, my main interests and expertise lie in resistance & strength training for both females and males. This is because of its proven benefits in improving body composition, strength, hypertrophy and general health. I have a keen interest in nutrition and I am currently studying towards a qualification through precision nutrition. I believe that diet is fundamental to getting my clients the best results! I’m also a great believer in educating you on how to train effectively, teaching you how to form not just quick fixes, but long term, positive lifestyle habits.
Resistance training takes up the bulk of my own training. I generally split body parts into separate days, my favourite being chest and back days. Mobility is a weakness of mine and something I want to improve into the future, creating more efficient movement patterns, particularly for my lower body training. During most of my training sessions, I can’t go without music for motivation, you’ll predominantly find me listening to rap/hip hop but I’m always open to anything with a good beat to it (Maybe not house music though!).

After a training session I like to have some SF nutrition protein powder (dark chocolate vegan is my go to) and some quick release carbs, then a solid meal consisting of chicken, rice/sweet potato and veg. On those special days where I’m feeling slightly less open to eating clean, I have a particular weakness for burgers and a terrible sweet tooth, if there’s chocolate I’ll eat it!
