Full Bodyweight Strength

Following on from our recent sold out Movement Series and the regular Calisthenics classes we host, we have noted your passion, commitment and enjoyment for training whilst making some amazing progress.

Always keen to learn more, further your knowledge and improve your movement prowess. We also understand the need to provide more focused coaching as there is lots to master and sometimes not enough time in a class to provide more specific tutoring.

Due to public demand we’ve decided to put a series together to ensure you are getting the most out of your training so have designed a program to work towards full bodyweight strength skills. This is great news for us because we love coaching it! As with anything building a solid foundation is essential, but once you have these fundamentals unlocked, the potential to expand on to further technical skills and advanced calisthenics moves are much easier to achieve.

This series is open for ANY ability and ANY body. Everyone will be challenged at their own level and each session will be catered for your current capability – Beginners, Intermediates and also the advanced practitioners amongst us.

This new series will focus on full bodyweight strength, with the option of adding weighted bodyweight training for the stronger participants too!

The skills we will be working to accomplish will consist of…

Lower Body

– Piston Squat
– Dragon Squat
– Cossack Lunge
– Hanging Leg Raise
– Single Leg RDL

Upper Body

– Olympic Ring Pull Up
– Olympic Ring Press Up
– Olympic Ring Dips
– Olympic Ring Muscle Ups
– Parallette Bar Shoulder Stand

Extras

– L sit
– Hanging Windscreen Wipers
– Back/Front/Elbow Levers
– Bridge

The series will run for a duration of 8 weeks. This time frame will give enough space to guarantee you evolve in your movement practice and ensure enough time to factor in progressions for your unique requirements. Not only will you work towards obtaining these bodyweight skills, you will also improve your posture, mobility, flexibility and balance. You will become stronger, enhance your movement patterns and become more mindful and aware of your body.

When – Tuesday evenings at 19:00 – 20:00

Where – Starks Fitness, Temple Quay

Cost – £229 (£209 Early Bird Price)

Movement coach Jamie-Lee Mound will be running this series and providing wisdom and expertise to assure you achieve optimal bodyweight utilisation and performance throughout. We are aiming to start the series on 18th June and we’re confident this will sell out quickly as we have received great feedback so far.
